Welcome to Oral History Nick Turner Reminisces These pages have been written by Nick who lived in Horsted Keynes all his life until relocating to Ireland on retirement These beautifully written pieces give us an idea of what it was like to live in this area postwar and provides an interesting insight on rural life before the motor car became cock of the walk. Jill Rolfe has interviewed many long-standing village residents and built up a large amount of evidence about life in the village in the twentieth century and the changes that people lived through. She has published many articles in the Danehill Parish Magazine, which have been enjoyed and praised by readers. Jill has kindly allowed us to publish some of her articles on this website.
